Ozzie Technologies, Inc. (“Ozzie” or “we,” “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how we collect, use, protect and share your Personal Information when you use our website www.ozziemoney.com (“Site”) or mobile application (“Ozzie App”).

1. Personal Information

For purposes of this Policy, “Personal Information” means information that alone or in combination identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a natural person. Personal Information does not include information that has been deidentified or aggregated in a way that it cannot be used to identify a specific individual.

2. Categories of Personal Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of Personal Information when you visit our Site, use our Ozzie App, or otherwise interact with us:

• Identifiers: Name, email address, phone number, user or account identifier, IP address, language preference, device timezone and similar information.
• Financial Information: Information you provide about your income, expenses, transactions, savings, savings goals, debts and other financial obligations, investments, account balances, income sources, currencies and other information about your financial circumstances. This may include information extracted from receipts, statements or other documents you choose to provide.
• Account and Communications Information: Account information and communications with Ozzie, including messages you send through the Ozzie App or supported messaging channels.
• Household Information: Information you choose to provide about your household or family circumstances, such as whether you have children, when relevant to your financial plan.
• Internet and Technical Information: IP address and certain technical information necessary to operate, secure and protect the Services.
• Inferences: Inferences we generate from information you provide, including your money personality, financial attitudes and preferences, behavioral patterns or tendencies, and other insights used to personalize your financial experience.

3. Sources From Which We Collect Personal Information

Directly from You

We collect your Personal Information directly from you, for example when you access, use, or otherwise interact with our Ozzie App or Site, create an account or request information from us.

From You Automatically

We may collect certain information about you automatically when you use our Site or Ozzie App, such as your IP address, mobile carrier, and other device identifiers that are automatically assigned to your computer or device when you access the Internet. For more information, see the “Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies” section below.

From Third Parties

We may receive your Personal Information from third parties in connection with providing the Services such as from our payment processors and financial aggregators.

4. Purpose For Which We Collect Personal Information

We collect and use Personal Information for the following purposes:

Communications: To communicate with you through emails, calls, on-line chat or texts; to provide you with alerts, updates, newsletters, promotions, and other information; to communicate with you regarding updates to the Ozzie App, the Site or the Services we provide; to respond to you when you contact us; to send technical notices, updates, security alerts, support and administrative messages; and to notify you of changes to our terms or this Policy.

Account Creation: We may use your Personal Information to create and service your Ozzie App or online account with us.

Access Financial Information. We may use your Personal Information if you grant permission to the Ozzie App to receive financial data from your bank, credit card account or financial institution through one of our third party financial data aggregator partners. We use this Personal Information to allow you to use our financial service Platform and to inform your individual money personality assessment.

For Payment Purposes. We will use your Personal Information to process payments from you to use the Services.

To Operate and Improve the Services, the Ozzie App and the Site. To analyze, operate, maintain, support and improve our Services, our Site and our Ozzie App.

Develop Insights: We may use personal information collected from you to develop insights necessary to provide you a better user experience.

To Assist in Financial Risk Assessment. We collect personal information you provide in response to our financial risk assessment.

For Research and Development. We may use personal information that you have shared strictly on a deidentified and aggregated basis to perform research and development and to enhance the Service.

To Provide and Personalize AI-Powered Services. We may use Personal Information you provide, information generated through your use of the Services, and inferences derived from that information to provide personalized financial guidance, respond to your requests, maintain your financial plan and improve the relevance of Ozzie’s responses and features. We may use service providers acting on our behalf to perform these functions.

Business Purposes: We may use Personal Information for our business purposes such as to (1) operate our business, the Services, the Site and the Ozzie App; (2) carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts we have entered into, including, without limitation, any contracts between you and us; (3) conduct statistical or demographic analysis; (4) prevent fraud; (5) assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns; (6) provide you with bills and to collect fees owed; (7) inform our business strategies; (8) operate our information technology systems; (9) perform research and development; (10) administer surveys and solicit feedback and (11) engage in other business purposes permitted under applicable law.

Marketing and Communications: We may use contact information and certain information about your account or use of Ozzie to send you product updates, educational content, offers and other marketing communications from Ozzie. We may use service providers to deliver and personalize those communications. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in the communication. Opting out of marketing communications will not prevent us from sending transactional, service-related or security communications.

Analytics: We use Personal Information to improve the Services, the content of our Site and our Ozzie App and to enhance your user experience when visiting our Site, using the Ozzie App or using the Services. We use Personal Information to generate statistical information about the usage and traffic patterns of our Site, the Ozzie App and the Services and to prevent fraud.

Law Enforcement/Legal Purposes: We may use Personal Information to respond to requests from law enforcement or for other legal purposes including to: (1) comply with legal and regulatory requirements; (2) satisfy contractual obligations; (3) cooperate with law enforcement or other governmental agencies for purposes of investigations, public safety or matters of public importance when we are legally required to do so or believe that disclosure of Personal Information is necessary or appropriate to protect the public interest; and (4) protecting and defending against legal actions or claims.

At Your Direction: We may use Personal Information for any other purpose which you authorize.

5. Disclosing and Sharing Personal Information

We may share or disclose with service providers or other third parties certain Personal Information that we, or third parties acting on our behalf, have collected. We may disclose or share such Personal Information with the following parties:

Service Providers: We disclose Personal Information to service providers that process information on our behalf and assist us in operating the Services. These may include providers of cloud hosting and databases, artificial intelligence processing, messaging and communications, email delivery, lifecycle communications, security and infrastructure. Our current service providers include companies such as Supabase, OpenAI, Twilio, Loops, Google and Netlify, depending on the feature or communication you use. We require our service providers to protect Personal Information consistent with their contractual obligations to us and applicable law.

Payment and Billing Processors: We disclose Personal Information with payment processors and billing service providers in connection with receiving payments for services we provide you.

Artificial Intelligence Service Providers: Ozzie uses OpenAI as a third-party artificial intelligence service provider to power certain features of the Services, including understanding and responding to messages, providing personalized financial guidance, identifying and categorizing transactions, and processing information from receipts and financial statements.Depending on the feature you use, information processed by OpenAI on Ozzie's behalf may include your name; messages and relevant recent conversation history; financial information such as income, budget, spending, savings and financial goals; your Money Personality and related personalization information; information about your financial plan and progress; and information contained in receipts or financial statements you choose to provide. Receipt images may also be processed by OpenAI.Ozzie obtains your permission before sending your Personal Information to OpenAI for these purposes. OpenAI processes this information on Ozzie's behalf subject to contractual obligations governing confidentiality, security and permitted use. Data submitted through OpenAI's API is not used to train OpenAI's models by default.

Parties to Business Transactions: In the event of an anticipated or actual merger or acquisition, bankruptcy or other sale of all or a portion of our assets, we may transfer or allow third parties to use information owned or controlled by us, including Personal Information. We reserve the right, in connection with these types of transactions, to transfer, share, assign, or sell your Personal Information and other information we have collected to third parties or to authorize such third parties to use any such information, including for due diligence, as part of any of the transactions described in this paragraph. Any Personal Information you submit or that is collected after this type of transfer may be subject to a new privacy policy adopted by the successor entity.

Government and Law Enforcement: We may share your Personal Information with individuals or private parties where necessary to enforce and comply with the law, to protect our property or legal rights, for the safety of the public or any person, to prevent harm, to protect the security and integrity of the Site and the Ozzie App and any equipment used to make the Site, the Services or the Ozzie App available.

Professional Advisors: We may share Personal Information with our professional advisors, such as our attorneys, accountants, financial advisors, and business advisors, in their capacity as advisors to us.

6. Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags and other tracking technologies (collectively “Cookies”) on our website. A Cookie is a small text file that our Site and our Ozzie App save onto your computer or device when you use the Site or the Ozzie App that provides us certain information about your activities. Cookies allow the Site to remember your actions and preferences and recognize you or your browser, along with some information you provided. Web beacons / pixel tags are small graphics on a webpage that monitor your activity when viewing a webpage.

We use these tools to make our Site function properly; serve you with targeted advertising; provide personalized experiences; tailor our interactions with you; help with our marketing efforts; provide us with valuable data and statistics about the usage and effectiveness of our Site and to help us improve our Site; and help us improve our Services.

Our mobile application does not currently use third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking identifiers. Certain tracking technologies described below may apply to our website rather than the mobile application.

Analytics and Advertising Technology

We use Google Analytics on our Site to help us understand how visitors interact with the Site, including information such as pages visited, approximate location, browser and device information, and other usage information. Google may use cookies or similar technologies to provide these services to us.

We may also use advertising and remarketing technologies on our Site, including technologies provided by Meta, such as the Meta Pixel or Custom Audiences, to measure the effectiveness of our advertising, understand how visitors interact with our Site, and show Ozzie advertisements to relevant audiences on third-party platforms.

These technologies apply to our website. The Ozzie mobile application does not currently use third-party advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking identifiers, or advertising analytics technologies.

You may be able to manage or limit cookies and similar technologies through your browser settings or other privacy controls made available by the applicable provider.

7. Your Privacy Choices

We offer you several choices with respect to how we use your Personal Information.

You may update or correct any Personal Information you have provided us by editing your account information on our Site, our Ozzie App or by contacting us at hello@ozzieapp.com. AI Processing: You may withdraw your permission for Ozzie to share your Personal Information with OpenAI at any time through the privacy settings in the Ozzie App. Because OpenAI processing is necessary for Ozzie to provide its AI-powered financial assistant features, withdrawing permission will prevent you from using features that require this processing. You may still access applicable account and privacy controls, including the ability to delete your account.

If you opt-in to receive marketing communications from us, we may collect your name, email, mailing address, and phone number. We use this information to send you promotional and other electronic and hardcopy communications. We may use third-party providers to deliver communications to you. You may opt-out of such emails by using the unsubscribe link in the email or contacting us at hello@ozzieapp.com with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line. To opt-out of text messages, reply “STOP.” To opt-out of other communications (e.g., postal marketing and telemarketing), please adjust your contact preferences in your online account, contact us as by phone, e-mail or mail using the contact information below. Opting out of marketing communications does not opt you out of communications about your account or transactions.

You may reduce the number of advertisements by changing your preferences online. To change your preferences with respect to certain online ads and to obtain more information about third-party ad networks and online behavioral advertising, visit National Advertising Initiative Consumer opt-out page or the Digital Advertising Alliance Self-Regulatory Program. Changing your settings with individual browsers or ad networks will not necessarily carry over to other browsers or ad networks. As a result, depending on the opt-outs you request, you may still see our ads.

8. Social Media

We are active on social media, including Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, and Twitter (“Social Media”). Anything you post on Social Media is public information and will not be treated confidentially. We may post (or re-post) on the Site and our Social Media pages any comments or content that you post on our Social Media pages. Your use of Social Media is governed by the privacy policies and terms of the applicable Social Media providers.

We use your information to provide, personalize, and improve our services. This includes communicating with you about new features or product updates, offering customer support, and responding to your inquiries.

We also analyze usage data to better understand user behavior and refine our offerings. Additionally, if you opt into marketing communications, we may use your email address to send occasional newsletters or event invitations. However, we will never sell your personal information to third parties. All usage of your data is governed by principles of necessity, minimalism, and transparency.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain your account and financial history, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our agreements.

You may delete your Ozzie account at any time from within the Ozzie App by going to Settings > Delete my account. When you delete your account, we will delete or deidentify Personal Information associated with your account, except where retention is reasonably necessary or required by law. Certain information may remain temporarily in backups or with service providers subject to applicable retention and deletion processes.

You may also contact us at hello@ozzieapp.com with questions or requests concerning your Personal Information. Receipts and Financial Statements: When you upload a receipt or financial statement, Ozzie processes the document to identify relevant financial information. Receipt images may be processed by OpenAI, while information extracted from financial statements may be processed by OpenAI. Ozzie retains transaction information you confirm as part of your account and financial history. Original uploaded documents are not retained by Ozzie after processing, unless otherwise disclosed at the time of upload.

Security of Information

We are committed to protecting the security of your Personal Information. We use commercially reasonable safeguards to maintain the security and privacy of Personal Information we collect and use in connection with our Services, the Site and the Ozzie App.

Children's Privacy

We do not direct or target any content of our Site to children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected the Personal Information of anyone under the age of 13, we will take appropriate steps to delete this information. If you are a parent or guardian of someone under the age of 13 and discover that your child has submitted Personal Information to us, please send us and email at the contact information below. We will make reasonable efforts to remove such information from our databases.

California Shine the Light

Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, California residents have the right to obtain (a) a list of all third parties to whom we may have disclosed your Personal Information within the past year for direct marketing purposes; and (b) a description of the categories of Personal Information disclosed. Please contact us as set forth at the end of this Privacy Policy to receive this information.

Changes and Updates to This Policy

This Policy may change at any time. Unless otherwise noted, those changes will be effective as soon as they are posted. If changes are made to this Policy, we will prominently display that we have made updates on the top of this Policy, on the Site and our Ozzie App or will communicate to you in another manner. Please check back periodically to see if our Policy has been updated.
